Is anyone else starting to think that Tiger could run the table this year?

I know that there are alot of tournaments to go this season, but Tiger is playing at a level that I have never seen before. Is it completely unrealistic to think that he could win every tournament he enters this year? I would say that it is pretty much impossible, but I want to hear what you guys think.

  1. impossible.

  2. After hearing this weekends telecast, he has done well on all of the "Major" courses.  TPC Sawgrass has not been a good course for him.  I'm not sure which courses will be played in the Fedex Cup.  He can skip everything else.

If it is to be done, he is the one.

But I don't think it is going to happen.....

  3. I am a Tiger Woods fan, but he won't run the table.  I guarantee that.  Anyone who plays golf knows how fickle the game is.  The Player's Championship hasn't been nice to him.  He's had success at The Masters, but remember last year.  He's had success at Torrey Pines, but not a USGA rigged Torrey Pines.  Remember last year's U.S. Open.  He's not won at Royal Birkdale either.  Oakland Hills is the real key.  Not much experience other than Ryder Cup in 04.  He's playing very well, but to win every single golf tournament is unrealistic.  He doesn't expect to do it.

  4. I think it's more on the unrealistic side.  It depends on the course he plays.  If the course if too easy, then anybody on his game can sneak in and win.  If the course is too hard and some wind kicks up, you can have a lottery situation where also another player can sneak in and win.

Of course, if he limits his tournaments this year, he will have a better chance of winning all of them.  It really depends on how many tournament he plays.

  5. From my other post, IMO, this is the year that Tiger wins all majors and the fedex cup in the same year..  he will be the only one to do this..

  6. I think your assessment of pretty much impossible is accurate.

  7. If anyone's going to do it, it'll be Tiger.  I thought the Match Play would be a tough one for him to get through, but he got by that hurdle.  Given his normal schedule and the way he is playing, his next toughest win will probably be the Players.  I think it's still kinda early to talk about a perfect season, but Tiger makes us think crazy stuff.  I think he can do it, but if I had to put money on it, I would have to say no.  I hope it happens, but I'll be happy if he can just get the Grand Slam.

  8. I think its a definite possibility.  There has been so many critics of tiger lately, ex Ian Poulter, who are just aggrevating him.  This is stupid.  You dont aggrevate a sleeping pitbul.  Whenever somebody talks c**p about tiger, he blows them out of the water, ex steven ames 10-8.  If he doesnt run them all, it will only be because he plays poorly, not anybody catching him.  He will have to come back to the field because there is not one person in the world that can keep up with him over four rounds.

  9. As great as Tiger is, and I regard him as the greatest golfer of all time, it is unrealistic to think he could do that.

I have predicted, however, that this year will be his best to date.  He'll win 10 or 11 tournaments this year.
