  1. well i don't know.are you? when is it?....

  2. def

    haha

    itd be sweet if there was a black out

  3. I just checked out the link, briefly. I will probably do this too! But I didn't see what time zone the 8pm was referring to. It would make sense if it was lined up with across all the time zones.  i.e. 8pm PST would be 11pm EST etc...

  4. Heck yes I am

  5. Well ! I have not heard of this, but it sounds intriguing to have a synchronized outing of  lights.

    I would be eternally grateful if people turned their lights out and the government would go along with this and turn off all the street lights as well, as I would fire up my telescope for a good hours time.

    This would indeed be happy time!

    Let the sixth magnitude stars be seen.

    P.S. Do this on a new moon

  6. yeah everyone wont do it at the same time, just do it when its 8 at ur place. i joined a group on it on facebook and will try to do it!!!( someone on facebook also brought up a good point that if everyone did it tho and turned everyting on at 9 pm the power plants might not b able to take it all and we might have a balck out!!!)

  7. I actually have some very powerful spot lights, several million candle power that I will be lighting up, we are having a block party, everyone I know for miles will be turning on every light, every appliance that we can, we hope to be able to make up for at least 1/2 of the nuts who do turn off and sit in the dark.  There was a restaurant that was advertising they where going to offer candle light dinners to show support, but they found out most thought they were mornings, and now they are just closing for the evening.

    Look for us, you should see the light from space,

  8. yes i did turn off the light for one hour

  9. Yes I am. I asked a the same question last week and got a whole bunch of No's. Its sad that so few people care about the environment. And yes before people jump on my case and say blah blah "it's only one hour", "it's not going to make a difference" etc etc. It's an awareness campaign it's not designed to solve the entire planet's environmental problems. It designed to raise awareness and make people think about the environment. Plus it's fun. I don't know why people don't want to do it. It's your planet too. Turn of your lights.

    Peace =0)

  10. I am!

  11. Of course!

  12. Why it will still be light out?
