We are after all our mix is part Chi. Our pup is glued to the screen when she sees previews.

I know many people are afraid it will result in many unwanted Chis but I don't blame the movie just the people who see the movie think this would be the perfect dog and get the dog without doing the research (many are afraid of a repeat of the 101 dalmations incident)

I personally look forward to the movie.

What do you think

Also what is your dogs favorite movie?

Ours like Madagascar and Finding Nemo (can't wait until Madagascar escape 2 africa)

  1. Well...my son LOVES the preview ("Jealous?") so I'd say it's a yes.

  2. I think it will be a cute movie, but it also scares me to think of what will happen to all the Chihuahuas out there..  Everyone will want one, and you will see tons of irresponsible breeders churning them out for proft..  6 months later, there will be plenty of Chis in shelter and rescue!

I wanna see the 2nd Madagascar Movie too!

My dog likes most cartoon shows.  He really likes it when we go to the drive-in to see movies, because he gets to go too!

  3. I hope someone shoots the director....pathetic excuse for a movie....ugh!

  4. Is it a movie i'll spend money to go see? I don't know, i was honestly caught between tears and laughter when i saw the commerical for the first time - but i will rent it to watch it. Can't pass up any kind of dog movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if it creates a big influx of Chihuahua breeding - but money hungry idiots will be money hungry idiots. We can't help that and we certainly can't help what's produced as far as movies go.

  5. The trailer looks funny when they are all dancing lol

  6. The fear of an influx of people wanting Chihuahuas because of the movie is a REALITY.

It's already happened to the Chi once - Years ago when Taco Bell launched their "Yo Quiero Taco Bell?" ads, there was a HUGE influx of Chi's purchased.  2 years later, there were TONS of them in Shelters and Taco Bell actually dropped the ad campaign because of it.

  7. I think the movie looks bad. and it will cause alot of chi's to be bred and adopted by people who just want em for superficial purposes and alot will die or end up in shelters

  8. I cant wait. I love just about anything with a Chihuahua on it or in it. My dogs dont really have any favorite movies but they stop and watch the wheel on the Price is Right when it spins.

Back to the movie, I hope it doesn't cause an over breeding frenzy like 101 Dalmations did.
