Is anyone familiar with a message board system similar to Yahoo! but more dependable?

Since the Yahoo news boards are down, and I have heard rumors this may be permanent, does anyone know of a similar forum?

You could try www.thedanacrew.com.  A new site with message boards, chat rooms and much, much more!!!

Try FreeRepublic. They don't like liberals, non-Christians, g**s, women and non-whites, though. But their fora can be a good read, in particular if you want to know how the people who will support Bush to the death think.

You also have the SlashDot boards. They are much more open, and you won't get flamed if you're a Democrat, g*y, a woman, a Muslim, Hispanic or Black--which is likely to happen in FreeRepublic.
