Baptist Curriculum. If so, please tell me what you liked and what you disliked about either? If you have used either, would you use again? Why or why not?

  1. They are both *very* conservative Christian curriculums.  Rod & Staff is published by Mennonites, and Landmark Freedom but conservative Baptists.

If you are very conservative, then they are wonderful.  However, if you're not, you're going to have to do a lot of editing.

Personally, as a Christian, I don't think it's necessary to use a Christian curriculum all the time.  I'd much rather take a "blank slate" curriculum, and add our beliefs to it, rather than say, "Well, *some* Christians believe this, but we don't."  So I mix and match curriculums, focusing more on what fits my son's learning style and what fits my teaching and learning styles.

    Just my input...

  2. I have and still use Rod and Staff. We are Christians, but we do use a variety of Curriculums.  I have not used Landmark., but my niece and nephew are students at home thru their Christian Academy. They are a Baptist Church in Florida.

I do know that alot of people use them for Home School and

    speak highly of them.

Rod and staff are Menonite and the staff is very friendly.

The prices are less than Landmark. You can order what you want and not a boxed set.

Rod and Staff does not have a Foreign Language Curriculum,

but Landmark does. Road and Staff, you as the Home school teacher and Landmark, they have wonderful and qualified teachers who can answer all of your student's questions they may have. also the Academy keeps us with all Records needed for your Home School.

    I hope this helps.
