Do to the rising gas prices at 4.50 a gallon I was thinking of comming up with a fun reliable solution. I am thinking of getting a stand up gas scooter or commonly know as a go-ped. I found one that is 100% legal to use in California. The Mosquito gas scooter series the Hawk, Hornet, and the stinger. All of the three models have a 35cc robun/suburu 4stroke engine. You can't go wrong with 4 stroke in california. The ones I am thinking of getting is either the Hornet or the Stinger. The differance between the two is hte hornet has a more durable frame but has the standard small a fat tires. The Stinger has a taller frame and 16 inch bicycle tires. My question is which tires add better performance and accelaration; The small a fat or the the tall and skinny bicycle tires? I don't know what tire type is a better choice for performance and Accelaration? Can somebody help me out?

  1. size of the wheel/ tyre makes no differance to the acceleration..   its only if you change the Diameter of the wheel from what the factory fitted that there will be a change..

If I was buying one I would go for the bigger wheel because it will give you a more comfortable ride..  (bigger the wheel the less you feel the bumps),  the bigger wheel may steer better & be more controlable as well...
