Question:

Is anyone familiar with the psyche evals schools give to grade schoolers? I need to know about them all and?

especially one called the Connors or Conners questionaire. Any info would be helpful. Also- any personal experiences anyone would like to share on schools or their child's educations? Thanks!

  2. The Connors' is a rating scale that is used to help diagnose attention deficit disorder (AD/HD) and other related disorders. There are teacher's and parent versions. This scale is typically used if there are concerns regarding a child's ability to focus, attend, complete tasks or remain seated. These rating scales would only be a portion of the evaluation, which would usually include tests of academic achievement, a measure of cognitive ability (in most states) and other assessments as dictated by the questions and concerns regarding a child's educational difficulties.

  3. The Connors is typically not something that schools initiatiate.  They can fill out if requested by parent of a student and it is sent to them by a medical professional.  Since it is for ADHD it would need to be interperted by a medical professional.
