I would really apopreciate it if i knew that other people were worried about getting a C. I think the first paper went o.k - but i forgot to press 2nd function on the triganometry on paper 2 and did a number of others wrong. All i need is a C but if i don't get atleast a D i get a U.

PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU ARE WORRIED TOO

  1. I'm not too worried about maths but i'm really REALLY nervous about my additional maths results.

Seriously, once you've done an add maths paper, normal maths seems so easy in comparison.

But anyway, i'm sure you've done fine! Good luck :)

  2. Don't forget about coursework too.. it doesn't make up MUCH of maths but it's like 10 or 20% or something, so still counts. And if the first paper was okay, try not to worry. It's a lot easier to focus on stuff you know you might not have got right - try and concentrate on bits that went well.

It's too late to change your grade now anyway, so try not to worry about it, spend the next couples of months relaxing!

Good luck in any more exams you've got left =)

  3. I'm worried too because I need an A to get in for Biology at A-Level next year.

  4. I did that paper last year. I didn't even answer like the last 5 questions and still got an A* on it! (just! - right on the grade boundry!)

I only got an A overall though because maths coursework is impossible for me (I got a B in it!)

So don't worry, it will all be fine! But if you get lower than a C your sixth form will make you retake it instead of an AS level!

  5. Yes I am worried. I need a B in maths to do physics A-level and to do a chemistry degree

  6. I think I've done alright, actually.

    I'm predicted a B and I think I've got that atleast.

I didn't think the exam was too hard.

    :)

You know that question on paper 2 which was a triangle with three sides and an unknown angle, once you used the cosine rule, to find the angle did you have to use 2nd Function and Cos?

My answer was 80-something but I wasn't even sure if I did it right.

I came out of the exam and one of my friends found the area of it, so I wasn't sure I even did the right thing.
