Ok so im due to get married on 2 aug 2009 but just found out im pregnant. I would like to get married before baby but the only time we can do it (due to fiances work) would be in 7 weeks. Is this too short a time any ideas for a fast planned wedding

  1. Nope, not at all. I found out I was pregnant at the end of October 2006 and was married the 1st week in December. We had a wedding ceremony and reception just like we would have if we kept our original wedding date. It may get a little hectic with all the planning in such a short time, but it definitely can be done. Good luck with the wedding and  congrats on the baby!!!

  2. You could get legally married now which is basically signing a piece of paper, and have a ceremony later or you could try pull one together in 7wks. I'm a wedding planner and the shortest time i have ever been given was 8 weeks. It all came together in the end, but was so very stressfull on the bride & me, i would never agree to it, ever again.

Especially being pregnant, you wouldnt cope.

The other alternative is to get married pregnant.

    Maybe this winter?

Decide on what your going to do first, then start looking into it more. I'd be happy to help.

  3. I got married exactly 4 weeks before i delivered my baby. We planed to have a ceremony later and it never happened. That has been almost 9 years ago. So now we are planning on renewing our vows at our 10th anniversary.

  4. why not get married in 7 weeks ..and plan for a big celebration later on....

  5. Elope, get married in court house on 2 aug 2008 and have a wedding exactly a year later

Not as much fun I agree but that way you have it all and your 1 year anniversary with baby will be wonderful

  6. I was 37 weeks pregnant on my wedding day. The whole thing was planned in 16 days, from the day we gave notice to the registry office. I wore an ivory Rapp dress that cost £45. The reception was a three-course pub happy hour meal for a total of 18 people. It was all short and sweet. Nothing is stopping you having a small ceremony and then plan the reception after the baby.
