Is anyone giving away flower seeds or shrubs locally? I also need fill dirt.

I am located near Wylie, Texas and pretty new to gardening. i wanted to try it out before I spent major money on this.

Check your local garden club.  The one I belong to here in AZ gives away seeds of locally-grown flowers for free!!!   There should be other gregarious clubs in the Dallas area.
