Black or white what do you think about this contemporary and revolutionary media coverage, launch by such a reknowned network? I don't mind a 3-part answer!

  1. No.

  2. No.  I know a lot of people will label me racist, but I just think this type of journalism is over done and tends to only widen the gap between people of any color or ethnic background.

  3. 1. not a chance

    2.same old "poor me".

3.don't need to hear any more of that stuff.

  4. Yes, I will be watching it. I think it will be fascinating to see & hopefully different perspectives will be launched, not just the overly done stereotyped "ghetto" people being interviewed & observed. Hopefully they will interview some upper middle class black folk w/ diff. lifestyles than what is always portrayed on COPS or the 10'o clock news. Also, other cultures as well. I'm Ethiopian & if they interviewed Africans or people from the Caribbean, it would be interesting to see.

  5. Probably not. I'm not much of a television watcher. If they have something about it at their website, I may read about it instead.

  6. I just might.

I am certain that such an unbiased and credible source will explain why it is that later ethnic populations other than Blacks, such as the Irish, the Italians, the Russians, the Jews, the Chinese, the Japanese, and the Vietnamese have been able to assimilate into our society, but apparently the consensus is that Blacks have not, since we've never had a Black President.

I fully expect that the answer will be that it is my fault, somehow.  It couldn't possibly have anything to do with an "entitlement mentality" causing Blacks to have a higher propensity to self-inflicted social problems than other groups.

One thing is certain, it will not be any kind of attempt to foster more "white guilt" in an effort to get people to vote for Barack Obama, without thinking about whether or not he'd be an otherwise desireable candidate for President.  CNN is certainly above such a thing.

  7. Yes, I am going to watch "Black In America" tonight.  I can't wait.  I'm actually surprised that it has got so much media coverage.  That's one subject that if something like this comes on, one doesn't hear about it until it's over and it will never come back on tv.  I actually downloaded a preview of it onto my ipod.  It's sad to say, but racism does still exist.  One day, hopefully, before my last day, we shall see the light.
