I'm not but I watched an episode of the show "30 Days" where a group of people who lived on a commune would go dumpster diving. I'm not sure if they ate any of the food they found but it did showing them finding a brand new hair dryer still wrapped in plastic. The sad thing is that most people throw out perfectly usable stuff because it's easier for them then to take it to a donation site.

i've been dumpster diving, and its about as glamorous as it sounds...but you always have to remember...

the SELL by date isn't the same thing as the expiration date, so most groceries throw out perfectly good baked goods and stuff...

i don't live by it, but it is an experience...

That seems like a waste of time.

I'm not a freegan, but I can't imagine being one.  What a load of rubbish.
