  2. Homeschooling is a team effort of child and parent and it's not for everybody.  I personally look back on it, and am thankful I was offered the chance to be home-schooled at age 11.  At 16 I took my G.E.D. and went on to collage for higher education.  It was a choice I was allowed to make, and something I'm glad I did because it gave me time to grow and mature without peer pressure, "clicks" and other such things school, especially middle and high school offers in abundance.

Now I home school my young ones through what wasn't offered to me when I was going through it, a Charter School.  It allows my children to have group activities, and field trips with their peers, as well as makes sure that I, the parent and teacher, does well by my children.

  3. I was homeschooled from 2nd -12th grade. I graduated from homeschool and am going to a Top Ten University. I loved being homeschooled! I'm currently majoring in Education and, Lord and husband willing, I will homeschool my own kids one day. :)

Both my parents taught me while I homeschooled, but I (like you) mostly taught myself. If I had any questions, I went to either my mom or dad (depending on the subject) and they would help me understand the material, but otherwise, I did the work myself.
