Is anyone here sick of hearing/seeing the slogan "God Bless America"?

Politicians throw it around so much; it has become completely empty to me. Why just this country...and not the world? I know its patriotic statement, but for crying out loud, if truly want to show our patriotism why not get socially and politically active in this country?

no, i'm not sick of hearing it. eventually no one will be saying it anymore and i might as well enjoy it now while it lasts

God is an archaic solution to problems in the country and when people feel helpless to fix problems on their own, they turn to this rhetoric.

Republicans do it. Democrats do it. People do it.

If we want problems fixed, we need to fix them on our own.
