  1. We use Sonlight and we love it.  You get everything you need in one shot, including schedules.  It's a little more expensive but it saves you a lot of legwork.  You can teach several children at the same time and tailor the L.A. and Math to suit each one.  The literature choices are excellent, too.  Here's a link to their site:

  2. No. No one is homeschooled...

    Just kidding..

Of course there are people who are homeschooled.   Y!A wouldn't waste the space on a section that did not have any visitors.

Our family uses relaxed eclectic approach and use variety of free and cheap resources from online, library and used book stores.

  3. ha ha not me i love school because i get to see my friends everyday.

  4. I am homeschooled online.  I am enrolled at themorningstaracademy.org.

  5. I'm homeschooled!! =]

But just start on Jan 08 so I'm really new

    te he he he

  6. I do homeschool. Have only been homeschooling for 2 quarters now.  The curriculum i am using is a few lifepacs and apologia biology and i use "The mystery of history" book for History.  I like it.

  7. Yes I am....

I'm in the Seton Catholic Homeschooling....

    =/

  8. My three kids are homeschooled.  We don't follow one set curriculum, I piece together a custom program from several different sources.

  9. I homeschool my children using a Charlotte Mason based curriculum called Ambleside Online. It is literature based. My children love the books and the style.

  10. no i am not home school but regular school could be very fun.

  11. We unschool. We don't use a curriculum per se, but my oldest (13yo) decided he wanted to learn Algebra, so we got a Saxon algebra book, and then chemistry, so we got a college basic chem book at the uni, and then rosetta German. My 8yo wanted to learn French, so our babysitter got a program for her and is helping her learn. The rest learn naturally.

  12. We do Unschooling. No set curriculum.

  13. I homeschool my son, here's a basic list of his curriculum:

    VideoText Algebra

    Apologia Science

    Shurley English

    The Easy Spanish

we'll be starting TRISMS in a few months

and homemade units.  Most of what we do, I can't find a curriculum that meets his needs, so I make it myself.  We base his units off of Scout badges (often for science, PE, and civics) and lapbook units.  I then scout around at the library and online to find resources - books, reference materials, videos, audio materials, and projects.  I plan it out and we go for it :-)  Right now we're working on nutrition/fitness, oceanography, marine biology, and botany, and next year we'll do physics and nature/zoology studies, along with civics/elections/government and economics.  For history we're reading biographies of each president, timelining the events of and during their lives, and mapping the states as they came into the Union.

    Hope that helps!
