Is anyone other than me a bit confused about McCain picking Palin?

Just for the record, all power to McCain and Palin and diversity in politics.

However, wasn't McCain looking for a tough Conservative with experience? Someone who could help him in financing his campaign and attacking Obama?

Palin only has 2 years of "big" politics as the governor of Alaska and is known for challenging Republicans. It just totally seems that McCain wasn't trying to answer those questions.

Is anyone other than me confused with McCain choosing Sarah Palin?

  1. I am, but not as confused as peoples vote in obama. In his acceptance speech his blasted Sen. McCain about McCain's comment that he'll follow bin laben to the gates of h**l to bring him (bin laben) to justice. obama added but he won't follow him (bin laben) into a cave in Afghanistan. Like he will! That's going to war. I"m puzzled how people are going to vote for this terrorist. I say that because he and william ayers (American terrorist, just like McVay) are friends. You people do remember Oklahoma City don't you? He has never lifted a finger to defend this country and he has the kahunas to say he all love this country. Bill Clinton gave Presidential pardons to terrorist. Obama is linked to and is friends with a know terrorist. So as much as McCain's pick was a puzzler (I agree with his pick), democrats and their cult followers are even more so!

  2. No. It's not confusing at all.

In fact, it's pretty d**n obvious.

    She's a woman. That's her qualification.

McCain doesn't care about the conservative vote. They have to vote for him no matter what.

He wants the disaffected Hillary vote.

  3. I am not confused, but I am convinced that McCain is getting desperate.

  4. Republican PRO:A hardcore conservative who's not linked to Bush. That's the brief McCain had...and he fulfilled the brief.

Republican CON: Now...whether Plain (Palin, sorry...that name is going to be an issue for me and my two finger 'speed typing') has big govt experience...that remains to be seen. She has been governor of a state since December 2006, a state with a huge area, low infrastructure and small population. The population of Alaska is less than half the size of the population in my hometown and my hometown is only the third largest city in Australia. Prior to her recent election as governor of Alaska, she was a small town mayor.

That may affect her ability to handle the stage. Plus...the digging into her small record as governor has already begun. She'd better be tough. I can understand if real Republicans are a bit puzzled right now.

  5. If your confused about McCain picking Palin you should also be confused about democrats picking Obama for president. They both are very inexperienced. it's quite sad. McCain is also not the maverick he used to be because now he became the ***** of the republican party to get their support. Joe Biden might be the only person out of the four to actually be qualified for president except he tends to put his foot in his mouth a lot.

McCain's pick is to pander to social conservatives and women, and if there's anything we know about Americans when it comes to elections, this stuff works. Just look at the past two elections. The idiot Bush was elected twice. Americans are not intelligent voters and tend to care about the silly stuff like family life and the pastimes of the candidates and not the qualifications and intelligence of a candidate. Conservatives are now energized over this pick because they feel they got a true social conservative on the ticket.

I'm only supporting McCain because the dems didn't pick Hillary to be the nomineee, the best person out of all of these asswipes. McCain winning the election will allow Hillary to run in 2012 because we know McCain is an idiot who will run this country into the ground even further and maybe by then the American people will wise up and vote for the right person.
