I'm thinking of going that route, but want to weigh my options against Aerial Gunner and Security Forces.

  1. I'm not a PJ, I'm a recruiter. But I will say this, I hope you can swim. If you are even considering PJ, start swimming now. You have to pass a demanding fitness test in order to qualify. Now the upside is that if you pass the test, the Air Force will book you the PJ job. But if you don't it's not really up to you if you get aerial gunner or security forces. You will need to list 8 job choices at the MEPS. You should know that secuity forces is our largest career field, and aerial gunner is a rather small career field. So even if you list aerial gunner as your first choice, and security forces as your eighth choice, you'd be more likely to book the security forces job. I'm am by no means not telling you to list it as a job choice. You just need to know that ultimately Air Force needs trump personal preference.
