I am scared. I don't make much money, live paycheck to pay check, and with the cost of everything rising so high, I am afraid that I will be homeless in the future, or my children will be. Just struggling to make ends meet is overwhelming me, and is there anyone out there who is as scared as I am?

  1. We will be fine right until we get out of the war, which cost us trillions of dollars. Also with rapid increases of alternate fuels and hybrid/electric cars our fuel crisis won't be around too long either. Just hang in there as long as you can.

  2. yes,  i am also afraid.are there any good solutions or ways for cutting expenses

  3. Lisa, I am also concerned about our nation's economy and how it will affect me - while i am not living paycheck to paycheck, I am trying to start in a new career and leave my current job. Unfortunately, I'm worried that moving into a new career might mean a pay decrease, which is something I'm not sure i can afford - if i even find an open job in the field.

With costs rising so dramatically, it might be tough to save for the future, but I strongly recommend it - being able to save up an amount equal to at least 3 months of living expenses for you and your family might provide an important cushion that might make the difference between paying rent and being forced out. It might take a year or more to do it, and meanwhile costs will be rising, but if you for some reason lose your job (sickness, layoff, etc.), you'll be able to float a little longer. Some of the online banks offer some of the better interest rates for savings accounts.

Good luck to you, and to all of us in these times!
