  1. anything for a party :)

  2. Given the length of time Queen Victoria was on the English throne, I think it was three generation??? I remember reading something that there was no one still alive to actually advise on the coronation of King Edward and Queen Alexandra. Yes, I think it will be fascinating to actually watch it happen. The pomp and tradition of it all will be living history. It is one thing to have your personal choices to live out your own fairy tales, but I have to agree with you. It will be interesting to actually see

  3. No not at all, anyway Charles will never be King, William is too young and the Queen is not going to die, due to the fact she is a robot, oh is that treason? I guess I could still be hung for that lol.

  4. Who cares? It is a toy title anyway.

  5. I am not. It bothers me as much as who is prime minister of Vanuatu.

  6. As the Queen is only 22 years older than her son she may well outlive him yet!........after all Queen Mary outlived 3 of her children.

I think Charles may one day be King, but I doubt his reign will be a long one, his Son is much more popular with the public.

  7. Looking forward to a King? Yes

Looking forward to Charles as King? No

Bring on Wills- a modern day King in touch with reality!

  8. Yes, I'm bored sick of Her Maj!

Let's have some new stamps and coinage, too!!

  9. Not in the slightest.

  10. Yes, cello day off for all.

This is something all English people should look forward to.

  11. no cos it's gonna be charles and no one will care cos most people in this country like william alot more and wish he would be the next king!

  12. I cannot speak for everyone. I am not looking forward to it.

  13. No I don't want the Queen to die.

  14. Er, no.

England needs a king like you need a new hole in the head.

  15. WHAT?! Did I miss someting? There is going to be a new king soon? When the h**l was someone gonna tell me?!

  16. I for one hope the Queen lives for many years to come!

I think Charles' Coronation would bring back alot of Brits who feel dissociated with the Monarchy, therefore boosting the public image.and feelings toward our great institution

  17. He is not the King of England. He will becoming Charles III, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of his other Realms and Territories King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

  18. No!!! All the good programs on telly will be postponed and you will HAVE to watch it because it will be on every F-ing channel.

  19. Did I miss something? When did the queen die? Can't say as I'm looking forward to Charles becoming king. Not particularly a royalist, but the thought of THAT woman being queen makes me sick. What a pity we cannot disband the Monarchy after the death of Elizabeth. A dignified end to an archaic tradition.

  20. Not so much with Charles but with William :)

  21. Not any time soon.  It looks like the grand old lady is gonna stick around for a while.

  22. No because there is no throne of England idiot.  Its the throne of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

  23. Britain maybe have we forgotten the rest of these islands not just england

  24. I'm not holding my breath.  If it happens, it happens.

  25. Yes, but not until the Queen has died.

  26. no.

    and im english.

couldnt give a stuff about the royal family.

  27. no what difference will it make to me

  28. Is your question designed to find out how many people want the Queen to die?  That is, after all, the step before getting a King, isn't it?

  29. I'd love to see a coronation in my time, but the way ole Queenie's going, it's going to be a good few decades yet.

We have been a rebublic in the past

owiginalwabbit, ok it may very well have a few hundred years ago, and then it was only for a decade, but it didn't work for us then, who's to say it'd work for us now? No, that's not a good enough argument I know, but having a monarchy is part of our heritage (our heritage sadly is something that isn't understood because it's no longer taught) and for that reason alone it's worth keeping!

A coronation would put that spark back into a dwindling institution. And for the good of the monarchy, the Queen should abdicate.
