Is anyone (person, business) working on solar powered lawn care?

Question

Gas powered lawn mowers, etc pollute more than cars per gallon of gas. If not solar, what about a catalytic converter for 2 cycle engines?

I saw a battery powered lawn mower with a solar charging unit in a catalog a couple of years ago.  I have been looking for it today and can't find it on the net.  It was a catalog of low or no carbon emitting products, but I don't remember the name.

You're looking at this all wrong.  Why perpetuate the green grass turf mystique?

Why not plant a wildlife habitat on your property.  Natural local specie plants can grow without fertilizers and artificial water sources.

Once you go native you'll never go back.  You'll be helping the environment, the wildlife, and the planet.  The best thing is you will have a lot more free time for fun  instead of spending it pruning your bush.
