Is anyone personally familiar w/some of those ppl n their stories on"a haunting"/discovery channel?

Is "A Haunting" that fictionalized melodrama?  Although it's immensely entertaining, I can't bear to watch it for more than a few minutes.

The documentary series "A Haunting" is based on true human encounters with ghosts and demons. I personally know of several encounters people have had with ghosts and demons. They are very real despite popular opinion.

There is a TV movie made in '91 called  "The Haunted." Although I don't know the family (the Smurls) involved (yes this is based on a true story) I am from that area of Pennsylvania (maybe 15 min away) and remember this being on the news and in the news papers. A good friend of mine (who I met after I moved out of the area, who was also raised in NE PA) knew, and went to high school with the girls who are portrayed in the movie. If you believe in hauntings or not, this happened to real people and generated real news. My friend who knew them, tells me, there is no way this couldn't have really happened because of the drastic change in the girls' attitudes and demeanor.

It's not a bad made for TV movie either, it's kinda disturbing. check it out.
