  1. Well, I never had any problem with going to the dentist until last year I made a really bad experience with a new dentist when I moved to another city. I hope I will find again a good dentist whom I can totally trust...

  2. yes

  3. I am very scared of the dentist I normally go in shaking and come out crying and shaking, most of the time its just a check up, but I'm still very scared of them.

  4. I'm not keen at all!! my dentist won't give you a gum numbing jab for a filling either!!! I have extremely sensitive teeth to!!!!!

  5. i do sometimes.

  6. No cos the agony of a rotten tooth would be far worse

  7. Nope but I never like someone just poking around inside of my mouth.

  8. i am not scared because my husband is dentist and he is doing everything in a so smooth way......

so find the dentist that suits you and fight your fear of dental treatment !

  9. I would if one of my parents didn't work in the dental industry (:

  10. Ouch. ..  I've never been comfortable with people putting things in my mouth. . . but I'm not really scared. I have had many baby teeth pulled cos they wouldn't come out. And a few others because I had too many for my little mouth. . . lol

I just hate that cracking sound, and the pressure. Gives me the creeps.

  11. That happened me. I went to a new dentist cos couldn't get an appointment with my usual one, and he unnecessarily pulled one of my back teeth. Needless to say I didn't go back to him.

Went to my usual dentist and he's lovely. I don't feel a thing.

If you're not comfortable with your dentist you should get a new one that you are comfortable with. It'll make your life alot easier.

    Good luck!

  12. first i was never scared but one day my teeth was going to fall out but i didn't so i had to goto the dentist to take it out but  the scariest part was when the dentist gave me a injection in my mouth!!!!! aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Yes, they wear masks. But she isn't dracula after all!

  14. I am TERRIFIED of the dentist, and I finally found one that I can go to and not be terrified. My suggestion is to do what I did. Search the internet for a "sedation dentist" in your area.

They can do all of your work while you are sedated. You are concious, can answer questions, but you don't really feel anything. (I felt one or two moments of pain, but was so sleepy that  didn't really care.) I had one extraction, one crown, and five old silver fillings taken out and replaced with resin, oh and he also shaved my gums above my front tooth.

What happens is they give you one or more drugs about an hour before the surgery that makes you sleepy. Mine also gave me a valium the night before due to my extreme fear. They also gave me nitrous oxide (laughing gas) in addition to the rest of it. It was the easiest time I ever had at the dentist.

I trusted him after that and when I had the real crown exchanged for the temporary one I was able to do it without any painkillers at at (not even novacain!) Yeah, it still hurt, but I wasn't panicked anymore. I knew that he'd do whatever was best for me.

  15. No, but my dentist is scared of me. I had the same experience as you, except for it was a molar on each side, they numbed both sides of my mouth and i couldn't feel anything. I ended up biting down on my dentists hand and didn't even realize it till his assistant started slapping my cheek telling me to open my mouth. When they pulled my teeth out they ended up cracking one into pieces. All I heard was a loud crunch.
