Question:

Is anyone sick of Brett haters, or people that don't comprehend the fact that Favre earned the right to go to

Brett gave the Pack 16 amazing seasons. they sucked when he got there. he kept the pack in contention every season. He gave Green Bay everything he had since 1991. He can take the crappy Jets to the same status. Many sports greats have done the same-- retire and come back. You don't know what made him retire or even contemplate retirement. Probably Deanna. But the haters don't think that far into the situation. Who thinks Brett earned the right to play for another team? who thinks management purposely sent him to the Jets because they suck? who thinks the fans, who , by the way OWN the d**n team should have the right to voice their opinions to the jackasses that manage the team? Aaron Rodgers does suck-- that can't be changed.

  1. I agree Deanna did this to him, probably got him started. Ted Thompson should be fired over this. Brett should be playing for the Packers and the Packers only. I don't blame Aaron Rodgers one bit, he has no choice in the matter and I would not want to be in his shoes right now, us Brett fans will never love him. I hope Brett gets his superbowl ring he deserves it.

  2. You said it right there, 16 amazing seasons.  Were they 16 free seasons? Nope.

Brett's game brought the butts into the seats and the Packers paid Brett very well for it.

Packers don't owe him anything.  If anyone owes anyone something, it should be an apology by Brett for wanting to come back.  The team prepared the off season due to Brett's departure.  They drafted TWO quarterbacks(Brohm and Flynn)  Do you think they would of used a 2nd rounder on Brohm if they knew Brett was willing to come back for another year?

Now I will admit the Packers didn't handle this well, but to say he deserves to go to any team he wants which would include division rivals, I mean why would Brett even consider playing for the Vikings?

  3. You cry more than Brett.

  4. Its just the same old sad story...

So one can go out with dignity anymore. If the guy wanted to play, he should not have retired to begin with.

  5. the Packers were in a no win situation, they either lose Rogers ( the future, and have spent way too much to let him go) or Farve, an Icon and Future HOFer.

personally I loved all the drama, being a Vikings fan, I think it really hurt the Packers.  I didn't want Farve in MN, thought he would hurt the teams long trem growth.

yes, I think they sent him to the Jets to punish him, but mainly to keep him out of the NFC north.

even though I am NOT a Farve fan, it would have been much better for his legacy, not to have returned.  this tarnishes his legacy.

  6. The Pack gave Brett 16 years made him a starter which he wasn't before - put a team around that made success possible and paid him royally. They owe him Nothing. He retired - what did they do to him. Whether you are Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Joe Namath, Terry Bradshaw or whoever the end does come.

  7. I'm no Brett Favre hater. Love the guy. BUT- football is a TEAM sport. True fans have to respect the team over the individual. That is the nature of team sports. Brett's waffling on retirement hurt the team and put them in a situation that made it impossible to plan for the future. I think he had the right to go, too, but you really can't fault people for being mad about the fact Brett Favre's indecision hurt the team. Green Bay management did not handle the situation well, but if Brett Favre had handled his situation better, too, it never would have come to this. Blame falls on both sides.

  8. I personally think the packers made a bad choice in sending farve to the jets. He does not have anyone to throw to. He would have done better with the vikings.

  9. In 96 brett favre might have been able to lift the jets to a wild card team, but currently he can lift the Jets to 7-9 or 6-10 if he's lucky. Face it the guy made an *** of himself, not just because he went to a different team - but the way he went about it was totally childish and the Jets deserve him.
