Okay you're probabaly going to think what a lazy cow I am, but I really need a B in English, and my good English teacher is on maternity leave, and now I have an awful supply!

Cutting to the chase, please could you write a compare and contrast two poems essay for me? Thank youuuuuuuu!!! Here are the two poems:

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-woman-to-her-lover/

(is about a woman in the time were women were to be seen and not heard standing up for her rights, that she is not there to serve men)

http://www.pjbsware.demon.co.uk/marvell.htm

(about a man trying to persuade a woman to sleep with him)

If you could write me this essay, the lazy clueless twit that I am, I would be effing over the moon! Thanks, Lena x

  1. I would but i am pants  at English. Sorry love i really would like to help.

p.s Hope you do well !

  2. The first thing is that the two poems were written 500 years apart, so they both reflect the time that they were written.

His argument is that time is fleeting; we don't know how much time we have, so let us get at it.

Hers is, "But will you respect me as much in the morning?"

Which happens to be the second biggest lie in the world, after, "the check is in the mail" and before "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."

One is by a man,  the other a woman.

    Here's a starter on Marvell:

I looked for help on Christa Walsh and I got swamped.

  3. Now I have read both poems and I will try to give you some help.

One is written by a man , one by a woman.

The woman tells her lover that she will not be his slave , maid , or his playtoy . She will only    be his equal.

The man spends his entire poem  trying to convince her to let him into her panties .He shows no love or consideration.

The woman shows so much more maturity than the man and tells him under what circumstances they can be on in marriage

The man shows his immaturiy when he tells her

to give in before she dies. He shows no love for her at all only his lust.

    Ways they compare

They both basically talk about the same thing

They are eloquently written in that they both

    describe their feelings quite well

Seem to be written in basically the same time period

and i am sure you can come up with other thoughts for both. I will not write it for you , but

if you take these ideas and more of your own with support you will do fine

    Hope this helps
