Is anyone suprised that Tiger Woods hasn't been the news for the wrong reasons yet?

Most modern day athletes make news at some point in their career for the wrong reasons, like Michael Vick and the other footballers and Basketball players.

I thought the constant scrunity and fame might have led Tiger to do something stupid, but Tiger hasn't really changed much as a person since he made his pro debut.

  1. You could say the same about Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Ernie Els.  But that's golf...it's a classy game.

  2. I think that your contention is wrong. "Most modern day" athletes do not make news at some point in their career. For example, there are currently around 1900 players in the NFL alone. I don't believe that 951 or more of them have made the news for any reason.

Most modern day athletes are like most people, they go to work, do their best, are good citizens and stay out of trouble.

I'm not surprised by Tiger. He's got great handlers and knows the value of his words and actions.

  3. probably because tiger was raised right and knows how to be a professional. he comes from good family values

  4. Name a golfer that has.

Other than John Daly's domestic problem, these guys are just golfers. Pretty exciting aren't they?

  5. It's just another aspect of the total equation that makes him the greatest in game- by far.  Off course distractions will harm your game on the course.

  6. Most modern athletes don't get in the news for the wrong reasons.  It's just that professional athletes and celebrities are big news and when they get in to trouble there is a media frenzy around the story.  The few thugs or punks that get in trouble make a bad name for everyone.

  7. Total dedication to his craft.

Stays out of trouble - so is not in the news for the wrong reasons.
