  1. Taking any type of birth control will ruin your hormone balance which can be a nightmare when you get older. Also, weight gain is almost guaranteed. Sorry.

  2. DROSPIRENONE; ETHINYL ESTRADIOL is an oral contraceptive (birth control pill). The products combine two types of female hormones, an estrogen and a progestin. They are used to prevent ovulation and pregnancy.

This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth. To reduce nausea, this medicine may be taken with food. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take this medicine at the same time each day and in the order directed on the package. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed. This medicine has been used in female children who have started having menstrual periods.

A patient information sheet will be given with each prescription and refill. Read this sheet carefully each time. The sheet may change frequently.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, refer to the patient information sheet you received with your medicine for direction. If you miss more than one pill, this medicine may not be as effective and you may need to use another form of birth control.

  3. I would NEVER take it because a friend of mine had only been on it for a month and got blood clots in her legs so bad she almost died.  She was in the hospital for a week and has to take a really nasty blood thinner drug (coumadin) for an entire year.  It's just too dangerous and I really think it's just a matter of time before it's taken off the market.

EDIT:  People who copy and paste a five mile long product info sheet instead of answering the question should be shot.

  4. trust me if you take it you have HUGE titz

  5. I highly recommend that you do NOT go on Yasmin.  I was on it for only four months which were too long in my opinion!  Yasmin put me through h**l, some mornings I could not get up because of how depressed I was and I would just cry all day and not to mention the migranes you get!  It's like this pain in your head that you never thought you could have.  You gain weight, acne does not improve at all if you've actually GOT the condition of acne and not just a few pimples.  You also gain a lot of weight and abnormal hair growth.  I recommend Diane, I'm going on it soon and it's an anti-angrogen meaning it kills off male hormones which produce acne and hair growth etc.

  6. Advantages... Flow is lighter and it's helped with clotting and cramping.  Predictable start to my period.  My face is clear of pimples.  No need to use a barrier method of birth control so you can be more spontaneous.

Sorry, but my b***s didn't get bigger.

Disadvantages... you have to remember to take them daily & it does seem to reduce natural lubrication a bit, but I believe all bc pills do this.

Overall, I'm happy to take them!
