Its the OLympics and where we are so caught up in what is going so wrong with our economy its like a breath of fresh air to most americans to see that someone representing us is dominating on the one of the biggest stages in sports . I think his accomplishments have just made everyone for one bit think that america is a world of hope and if you can give the utmost effort its the one country where we all can succeed . Now is it overkill , well yeah but the journalist have to magnify the good as much as possible  cause  that what gets them they honors and respect in broadcast journalism . My question is would we being complaining if they did not report on his accomplishments at all ?

Not really. I'm a little frustrated that no other U.S. swimmer can beat him. But hey, we americans have to get a win anyway we can, and he's our best shot. Besides, he must've trained really hard to get as good as he is. So, i think he earned it just a little bit, but i do think his mom is annoying as h**l. She's like riding on his coat-tails. Let the poor kid be! <33

Sure, it IS annoying hearing about him every d**n day, but he's the best swimmer in the world right now.
