Is anyone up to date on iraq...?

was wondering if anyone knows if there's more going on in iraq (past 3 weeks)...i've been waiting to hear from a couple of soldiers...and have not heard from them! are things more active over there now? does anyone know anything at all? i don't get to see much of the news!!! thank you

i change the channel everytime i see news from there. that's liek, boring.

What do you mean by more active?  The Iraqi Police and security forces have taken on the front lines role and coalition forces now back them up.  Ground situation is the best it's been since the start of the war.  Your peeps just may not have had the chance to write you back or something.  Don't worry about them, things are going well over here.

If you really want a surprise - read the article about the attack on the US base in Afghanistan and compare it to what the MSM told you.

Iraq is not on the news, turn on the tv or radio, you won't hear about Iraq, read a newspaper and you won't hear about Iraq. But fear not, this is a good thing. Because as General Petraeus said, good news is no news. People don't want to hear stories about business opening and streets becoming safer in Iraq, that's boring. What grabs the viewers is disaster and death. This isn't happening in Iraq, so it's not on the news, which is a good thing for us all. Well, not for the terrorists of course.
