Isn't it stupid that they are showing the same match on 3 different channels? I thought the purpose was to show different matches?

  1. Nope.

  2. The ESPN coverage has been all over the place. It is very annoying but that's just the way ESPN covers tennis they jump from court to court trying to find drama and entertainment.

TTC's multi channel coverage was a lot better because they stayed with matches all the way through and rarely ever showed the same match on more than one channel.

If they have multi channels then there really is no need for all the channels to be hopping from court to court. I don't think ESPN realizes that fans get emotionally invested in matches blowout or not.

  3. and dishnetwork as well.

yeah,it's pretty under-par compared with tennis channel and usa network's partnered court coverage.....they had broadcasts on all the main stadium and outer courts so you got to watch the matches as they happened rather than what they chose to broadcast. there were three or four matches going on elsewhere earlier today and yesterday, that i wouldn't have minded watching and they just went unnoticed. but as usual coming from self-proclaimed grand slam network, they pick and choose who they want to show and don't give flying fig about the fans. they think all we want to see is sharapova, serena, roger, nadal etc.

  4. Yes, however, DirectTv shows whatever is primetime.
