  1. i am 60yrs old and when i was a small child,my mother had a friend whose mother and father were slaves.  the father had passed but the mother was  still alive.

  2. well it depends on which imigrants are here...what i mean is DARFUR

big salve thing im sure some of the owners of the slaves live here in the US

also...my parents are still alive.......lol lol

  3. The last slaves in America were liberated in the 1860's That was nearly 145 years ago.

The oldest living person in the United States is Edna Parker, who is 115 years old. She was born in 1893.

The last Civil War on the Union side to pass away was Albert Woolson, who died in 1956 at the age of 108 years old.

The last Confederate veteran is disputed, but the last authenticated Confederate vet was Pleasant Crump, who died in 1951 at the age of 106

So the answer is,nope, no way anyone is still alive from that era.

  4. Not unless they are 150 years old!

  5. no hun.its illegal

  6. The only slavery in the USA is the slavery of the credit card. debt. That is how they keep the masses working, wanting, supply, demand, etc. The inmate program is another form.

Now in the word, there is still slavery in some African countries, Sudan, and some Arab countries. There is a slave market for American-European women in the Arabian countries for there Harems. But Governments don't like to talk about it.

  7. Well there is still slavery going on today in deep hidden parts the south but i don't there can be anyone alive from the 1800's,sorry to disappoint you :)

  8. Since the Civil War abolished slavery, I'd say...not likely.

  9. Slavery still exists in some parts of the world. The answer is easily yes.

  10. No, legal slavery ended with the Emancipation Proclamation in the 1860's.  That person would have to "owned" a slave as an infant and today would be over 140 years old, which is about 20 years longer than even the very oldest people live.

But it's interesting to consider that people alive today have known people who were born into slavery.  That history is not so very far behind us.
