It's no surprise, no new idea, the government has been gradually taking our rights and claiming it enhances our freedom.

We pay over 30% (not to mention the taxation that occurs when you purchase items) of our hard earned paychecks to this establishment yet never see any notable return.

Constantly we are made aware of dangers in other places to keep interest off our own land, moot points that never matter become huge stories to dwell on.

The media informs us only of the horrible, tragic things happening, keeping people trained to their tv set rather than going outside to live.

When will this end?

Why won't more people get concerned about this and take interest in their world?

It is not only their lives and future that are at stake but also the lives of their children are affected by everything that is happening right now.

  1. I'm in. I believe that any act passed in the last six yearshave imposed unreasonable restrictions or our freedoms, specifically our First Amendment rights.

Our government is supposed to be run for the people, and I think the only way to do this, is to make our wishes known.

  2. You're tellin me

I only build bridges..now i may have to pay a "tax" to have them fixed.....if you get my drift

  3. what can we do except vote corruption out of office?unfortunately the 2 parties are both corrupt so we'd just be replacing hitler with another hitler.we need a 3rd option or 4rth.

  4. I'm screaming as loud as I can and rallying against my government--seeing how they abandoned the nation for personal interests and financial gain.

    (Right d**k?)

  5. I am, but I think the better question is HOW do you take a stand against a corrupt government?

More people need to be on board, but the majority of the country is sadly content with their robotic lifestyle of going to work, raising children, going to work, raising children, etc., etc. It's scary to look deeper into the policies and motives of our government, so most people choose not to. It's like questioning religion. Most people are scared that they'll find evidence that disputes what they thought they believed. It's easier to not question. Ignorance is bliss, right? It takes strength to question your beliefs, and it takes bravery to take a stand against corruption and sacrifice your time, safety, and reputation for something that has a small chance of succeeding. I haven't determined if I think it even can succeed. I have a feeling many have tried, and they either encounter an "accident" and disappear, or they go the route of Winston and eventually "learn to love Big Brother."

Too conspiracy-theorist crazy for you? Yeah, sometimes I think so myself. :)

  6. good points but i doubt people will ever form a revolt

  7. I am willing but I can't do it all by myself

  8. Nice rant, but too amorphous a question

  9. Not enough to be successful. Most Americans are cowards, too chicken to arm themselves against corruption.

  10. What government are you referring to?  Your complaints could apply to any country.  I live in the US.  My effective federal income tax rate is six per cent.

  11. Every one has good and bad habits, same with the government. What is government ? we select and elect. If the government is corrupted, then we are responsible.

Government also does a lot of good things.

Don't concentrate on negative side. Be more positive.

  12. If  I was going to stand against a corrupt government I would first of all make sure that I always gave a clear definition of what I considered to be corruption.

  13. no and it sickens me - we all know what is happening and not one single elected official will stand up for our country.

let us pray the draft is re instituted - it is not until people are directly affected that they just might stand for this country that once was proud and free.

we are asleep at the wheel - everyone knows -

the media as usual uses fear and stupid puppy stories and press releases for their reports.

  14. They should, and listen to the decleration of independence, say it is the peoples right to alter or abolish the government if it does not do its job. And the federalist papers, that say nothing is more important than the need for a good government.

  15. Honestly, it may never occur in my life time. However, there are people trying to change things. There is a group called Unity08, they are trying to change the way that politics are corrupted. For instance, the electoral college that pretty much kills out our actual votes in major elections. And the 2 party system, because yes, there are other parties, but they honestly don't stand a chance in a major election due to the electoral colleges. So there are people who  are fighting for change, it is just going to take forever, unless more people actually start giving a c**p, and become more educated. Most people dont think that their vote counts, and they do! So if you want change, you have to make change!!!

  16. I would really love to fight/refuse/reject corrution. But I do not agree that I am attacked from all sides. It is true that I must have my house clean. The reason is that I am one of those fortunate to earn high income, maintain my family in a big style. Can we have a look at the have-not? Are they intelectually far lower than us? Our safty day by day is becoming our joint social concern. Tragic things will continue to happen till we donot accept every one as part of our society. Let us actually  involve ourselves in fighting against odd.
