  1. This summer?  My son is looking at SAT study books that I got for him from the library.   I hope he will be inspired to study and  to get a grip on the reality that he can only plan on college if he plans on learning much in the next 2 years of homeschooling.

I am doing a study of American History using a set of old books that we bought at a yard sale. (Copyright 1963)

Along with the books, I am looking up things online and listening to lectures for each time period.  I have studied all summer and am just now getting to the Pre-Revolutionary period.  There is so much information that it takes time to read, listen and study  all that is available.

I am also listening to lectures and discussions  about health issues that pertain to individuals in our family.

I am also practicing piano to improve.   I am getting stagnant in my playing and need to excercise what I know and stretch  my brain to learn more.

So, my student is taking a break from work assigned by me (based on his interests and goals) and I am taking time to learn what is of  interest  to me.

  2. 24 x 7 x 365

That would be now - no matter when you ask.

  3. We'll be starting the new school year July 26th.

  4. I work everyday from 7-12 on homeschool. I am doing my senior year just as homeschool so i can get a diploma faster.

  5. We are going to start homeschooling our children this fall except we have already started on their math because they were so behind with their math from the public school they attended.

  6. We have always home schooled year round. Currently my 8th grader is working on algebra 2 (almost completed), and physics (almost completed), and he is working on biology modules best studied in the summer months (Annelids, arthropods, chordates - amphibia, reptilia, stream studies, etc).

In most summer sessions we have worked on special projects. One year my daughter did a computer game mod in which she selected a favorite TV series and converted the game completely to characters, settings, and story to suit that TV series. It was counted as an elective credit consisting of 3-D computer art (she created the 3-D game characters, settings, and props) and a unit of narrative writing (she researched how to write scripts and created one for her story then recorded the voices for in game cut scenes).

  7. You mean now on Sunday or now during the summer? Or do you mean currently home schooling their children during the school year? I'm not right this second because its Sunday.

  8. Dude. i do PA CYBER and im still freaking doing school! ugh its so annoying
