  1. canvas is not made from cannabis that is hemp fibre.

Canvas is made from a cotton blend of materials and as for being recyclable hard to say lots of times there are chemicals in or on the canvas to give it colour and make it waterproof and flame retardant. If the bag was untreated than any textile recyclers would be able to recycle it into there product

  2. Absolutely not. The only time you could expect it to be made from recycled materials is if it said so, and then they would probably charge more. Canvas has been around for centuries and is generally cotton or a cotton blend. Hemp is not recycled either--it is just made from a different plant than cotton. Wool and silk both come from critters.

The same holds true for all fabrics, and for most products in general--unless they are noted as being made from recycled materials they likely aren't. Unless of course the product is by nature a recycled product such as wood pellets for stoves made from sawdust--which is technically waste product, not recycled product anyway. Or something made from or re-purposed from it's original intended purpose.

    hope this helps
