Should we even bother watching it anymore? What would happen if everyone in the world just turned off the televisions and just went about their daily life without it?

  1. You never know.  Accidents happen.  Sorry, couldn't resist.

  2. I guess one thing or another may be true. But in general, I don't believe the mainstream Western media or the Israeli media.

  3. Latest news-http://ndtvnews.net/

  4. The media have a habit of taking an actual event and 'spinning' it in a particular direction for a specific reason; usually to influence public opinion.

The media is accountable to their advertisers, not their audience.  In the media industry, the actual show/segment/story is called the 'filler' and the advertisements surrounding the 'filler' is called the 'content'.

We should watch the media in order to read between the lines and see how media controllers are trying to sway public opinion; that type of media consumption helps the masses stay ahead of the game.  Bad media consumption is the kind in which everything is taken as a truism.

If everyone turned off the tube, the world would be a better place.  People would connect more, be kinder to one another, criticize themselves and others less...  Remember what happened during the massive blackout of August 2003?  People went outside and spoke with their neighbors.
