  1. Sorry, but there are laws about damaging property, just as if you tore it up or burned it.

The laws are made to protect property.

If you had a nice car or house, and it took you every moment to work so you could pay for it so that our kids could live and get to wherever they go...

would you want someone to tear it up?

    the same logic

    applies to graffit.

    sorry, it is a crime.

So graffiti that isn't a crime

can be done on graffiti safe zones

These are walls of some stores who like

    to have it there.

    Always ask permission.

Another thing is to find out how

    to express your feelings

in ways that are not destructive.

    When you feel something

that is so important to you

that you want to spray it on walls,

    consider getting huge canvasses

    and making your own.

    jean-michel basquiat

was an artist whostarted out with graffiti in NY

    look at his work

i would be a graffiti artist if it wasn't illegal

  2. What you mean is, is graffiti a crime? _What_ is painted is irrelevant in terms of legality. If Raphael painted a Madonna and Child on the New York subway tunnel wall, it would be a crime. The fact that what one sees on the wall is more likely to be stylized lettering of obscenities and personal names is irrelevant: it is not any more of a crime or less.

  3. Depends what is being painted.

  4. graffiti isnt a crime. you can go to your local craft store and buy REALLY big canvases for about 100$. you just cant do it on peoples houses and buisnesses.

  5. No, for Art is ART, no matter what....
