Is auctiva auction the same thing as paypal?

i recently purchased something off of ebay, and it said the seller preferred that you pay through paypal, which i have no problem doing. he sent me the invoice so i can pay, but it takes to to auctiva. i sent him a message and he said that it is the same thing as paypal. is this true, and is auctiva safe?

Yes, auctiva is a ebay company. Its ok i use them my ebay id is growingstore  take a look at ma feedback :)
