if so, major cities are snowy ,in which time of the year ?

  1. not the major ones.

    winter in Australia - June to August - tend to be cool rather than cold. about 8C or so. not cold enough to snow

    hence, less likely to snow in the cities although some places like mount buller do experience snow


  2. Major city that has snow in june/july/august (Winter in Australia) ~ Canberra ~ Capital city of Australia...Also known as: Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in New South Wales.

    Other mountainous areas of New South Wales & Victoria have snow in Winter also, but not another major city.

    Tasmania has snow in Winter also.

    Winter here is June, July and August.
