yeah passive is right because you dont actually have to put it on yourself.my car has those and I love them!

All new seat belt systems are passive. If you're old enough to remember the older cars that you had to pull on the section of the belt (like the airlines still use) to shorten and basicly lock you in one place...those would be active restraints.

The answer below would be correct because a passive system would be automatic and not active, sorry.

Passive, it means you dont have to put them on. they position themselves on your body where they should be . without you having to do it
