i'm thinking about trying bare minerals. is it as amazing as they say it is?? and if so, should i start out with a starter kit (including 1 foundation, warmth, mineral veil, and a brush (not kabuki)) or should i go all the way and get the whole package, kabuki brush, concealer brush, and all?

  1. I love Bare Minerals.  After about two months of using it, a small acne scar on my cheek disappeared completely, and it has evened my skin tone too.  It does not provide full coverage but blends into what I call a soft focus, so I keep a liquid foundation on hand for when I want more coverage.  I love the Bare Minerals for concealing undereye circles and for concealing the redness around my nose too.  Absolutely get the whole package because the Handy Buki brush and the Concealer brush are necessary for applying the products correctly.

  2. My bf swears by it and she is one of the pickiest woman that i know of on the planet!  She can afford any kind of cosmetics and she chooses this.

  3. I dont know. But I wanna try it also.

  4. i've tried it and its good but so are all the cheaper ones mineral foundation is all the same to me i use neutrogena mineral foundation bronzer and blush and i love it i also think they have a better color selection then bare minerals was to yellow for my skin tone

  5. heck yes!!!

but you shouldn't get either of those

your best shot would be to just go to like sephora or some makeup store, find your color and just by the one foundation.

The others aren't really too great, but the foundation is really good.

  6. yep - do it - it is totally worth it.

  7. I just started using Physicians Formula mineral make up and I like it. It covers the red spots on my cheeks. And it doesn't get all caked up. I think I paid like $9 or $10 for the foundation and maybe $10 for the loose powder. And I also bought the Loreal mineral mascara. That works well too. I don't use a lot of mascara and I don't like when it gets all clumpy... and this one works great!! And that was like $9. I don't have a lot of money to spend on make up so these work well and not expensive.

  8. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin you might want to try a sample of it first. You can get it at Sephora, or order a sample on ebay.

I can't wear it because the bismuth oxychloride in it makes me itch.

If you find it makes you itch, then you might want to try using a mineral makeup that is bismuth free. I use LA Minerals and it's been great!

  9. NO. When I first saw the infomercials I was so impressed but when I got it I was so disappointed. It doesn't give coverage at all. Your better off with everyday minerals. Heres the link:

You can get a free kit all you pay is shipping which I believe is like 3 bucks but it works better than bare minerals and its far cheeper.
