  1. I would check www.8notes.com...They have a fourm link you can click on...then just type Barrington saxophone, and it'll come up with a bunch of blogs about it with people's opinions...

  2. Yup.

  3. HI Lola :)...  Great question and it is a good thing you were smart enough to ask..   No,  No,  No.  Don't even think about throwing your money away on one of these instruments... no doubt assembled in China most likely by a 15 year old.  In the last few years there has been an insurgence of these China made instruments.  They are imported by the thousands and are sold cheap... but they ARE CHEAP.   Sometimes they don't even play straight out of the case.   If you are looking at one...  don't take my word for it...  but ask the sales rep. where the horn was made.  If he says China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico... you are wasting your parent's money and your time if you get one.   It is not a good enough answer for me to simply be straight with you about the Barrington.. I should mention which ones are good.  Selmer / Yamaha / Yanagiawa / Keilwerth / Vito... all of which are built either in the USA or in Japan.   They make student models all the way up to Professional models.   If you cannot afford a new one of these brands...  look for a great deal on a used one...   The sax will be of better quality,  it will last forever,  and you will have a better sound.  Hope that helps...  (check craigslist.org for deals on used saxes)
