  1. I don't think so. You would probably just get a group of friends together, make some flyer's, get the money for the equipment [which that process would be hard, that stuff must be expensive] then get your name out there. You might need to do other stuff like get permission from someone but I don't know. Like Meankitty said, you have to learn a lot before you investigate!!

  2. It's really easy to become a paranormal investigator, you just have some business cards printer up with "Paranormal investigator" written on them.

What is hard is being taken seriously, and making money out of it. If you turned up at my door and said that you were a paranormal investigator and wanted to check my basement for ghosts I'd probably think that you were a prowler and set the dogs on you. On the other hand if you had a Masters in physics from MIT and a half page ad in a good magazine I might consider heiring you.

However, if you want to do this as more than a hobby, and you want to be seen as anything more than an amateur ghost hunter what you need is a qualification in a serious science such as physics, or at least a Parapsychology qualification (and then not a mail order one), and preferable University funding.

  3. it takes time, study and an experienced investigator to guide you along.   it is not hard.   it is easy, but, not simple.

  4. http://www.archangelinstitute.us

Check this site out when it launches on 7/4/08, it deals with paranormal

  5. It's expensive, work long hours for free,  and people think you crazy.  Whats hard about that?!

  6. Anyone can do it.   The thing is the more you do it the more you learn.   You can't just advertise and start investigating homes.  It takes a while to learn how to read your meters and analyze evp properly.   I would suggest joining a group and finding someone to teach you.

  7. I thinks so. It's all about experience

  8. Nope.  You just start calling yourself one.  There's no licensing procedure, no degrees, no certification, nothing required - because there's nothing to it.  Just don't charge people to do nothing, they won't appreciate it.  Have fun!

  9. Not at all,it's very easy.I now pronounce you a paranormal investigator.Have some fun try not to be silly.

  10. Not at all.  The only requirement is that you wish to investigate paranormal claims.  The hard part is not declaring every anomaly a paranormal artifact.
