  1. no.

  2. I won't answer this as rudely as some people have, though I can understand why they are dumbfounded.  Instead of wasting 5 points on here, you should have just read the ingredients on the label.

That's why they list the ingredients.

  3. *holds head in hands and cries at stupidity*

  4. Beef boullion is made from beef. Chicken boullion is made from chicken.  The same goes for beef and chicken broth, beef and chicken fat, beef and chicken powder.  If the word beef, chicken, pork (or any other type of meat) appears in the ingredient list, it is actually made from that type of meat UNLESS it says something like, "artificial beef flavor from plant sources."  Vegans don't eat animals whether it's big slabs of flesh or little hidden bits and pieces.  Your mom's rice is nowhere close to vegan.

  5. Unless the package is clearly labeled "vegetarian" or "vegan" flavored beef bullion, it is not vegan.

  6. No, it is not vegan

    Nor is it vegetarian

  7. Of course it has beef in it. While you can get vegetarian "beef" products, bouillon isn't one of them. It's made the same way other broth is, by boiling meaty bones. You might want to do a little bit of research on animal ingredients so you can clarify for yourself and to your mom what is and is not made from animal.

  8. There are fake "beef" broths but you'd have to check with your mom to see if that is the kind she used. Don't stress it is all about doing your best.

  9. not unless BEEF is a new veggie!

  10. Of course it does.   Don't eat it.

  11. She should have used Vegimite..Tastes like beef bullion..

  12. Weeell....usually when something has BEEF in the title it contains BEEF. nuff said.

  13. NO

  14. um.. you cant be serious, please say your not.

  15. it's powdered beef.  It's not even vegetarian much less vegan

  16. No it's not vegan...  it's BEEF bullion

  17. Yep!!!!!!!! TOTALLY VEGAN they just call it BEEF bullion for teh lulz.

    READ. THE. INGREDIENTS.

    Good god. D:

  18. Yes, of course it does.  That's why it's called "beef" bouillon.  It's made from boiling cow parts including bones with marrow.

  19. Oh my God, seriously? Are you twelve, a very new convert? I mean, even though you say you don't cook very often, this is an incredible question.

Use some common sense, please. BEEF = COW.

If you are vegan and you don't cook very often, you are setting yourself up for trouble, especially considering that the chef in your family obviously doesn't share your lifestyle. I'm thinking you live with one of two scenarios:

    1) Your mom just cooks whatever, and maybe tries to occasionally accommodate you, but she's probably not terribly knowledgeable. You scrape by on whatever you can find that just happens to be vegan.

    2) You live on Gardenburger and Morningstar Farms.

BOTH situations are setting you up for some MAJOR health problems. A vegan diet requires more careful planning than Posh Spice's I've-had-three-kids-and-I-maintain-a-23-... diet. You have very little room for error or you could make yourself extremely sick, and that is exactly where you are headed.

Please, PLEASE do some serious, in-depth research before you call yourself "vegan" or even "vegetarian." Learn what you can and cannot have, but more importantly, learn what you need. Learn what nutrients you'll be pinched for and where you can get it, and then do yourself a favor... Get a cookbook.

My mom just cooks whatever and sometimes if she's making pasta, she'll save some sauce for me before she adds ground beef. But I taught myself how to cook, and now I am quite literally an expert chef. I guess it's just too bad I'm in vet school. You may not like to cook or you may not know how, but this is YOUR lifestyle choice and if you don't want to die young and miserable, you'll do yourself the favor.

  20. no, it is not vegan.

I'm almost positive it's made from the beef juices.

so it's technically made from meat.

  21. It is definitely not vegan.

  22. No it's not vegan.

  23. It's basically condensed beef broth - not vegan.
