Is beer/cola in a can still drinkable if you don't open it for many years? does it hold its flavor?

Well, I would not drink it because for one thing, you will loose all the carbonation in the drink. Even a sealed can or bottle will loose the gas that makes the bubbles because of the seal not being able to last a long time to hold it in. If you look on a can or bottle you might notice a code number or date that will either be when the beverage was made or the last date of it could be sold. Beer companies say beer is good for only 1 year after it has been made. After that it will be recalled and disposed of. Sorry.....
