  1. Yes it is. I had some today lol. It helps to fight cancer.

  2. Well,it is pickled and that's only OK in small doses.

The best beetroot is fresh or shop bought, but even better for you if you can drink a glass of the juice it makes a day,as its great for lowering blood pressure, and its even being advised by doctors to tell the patients with high blood pressure to drink a large glass a day.

It really works,my hubby had high pressure, but since he drank this daily its now normal again. :)

  3. No it is not "good" for you.

Once vegetables are cut they start to immediately lose all their nutrients.

The beetroot was probably processed months or even years ago.

It was pickled in brine or vinegar and maybe had more preservative and salt to it.

It may taste nice in a sandwich but it would have absolutely NO health benefits.

Raw freshly cut beetroot or juice (especially organic produce) is magnificent for your health.

    .

  4. Yes, it's good for lowering cholesterol. If you eat too much you poo turns red, but this isn't bad don't worry. Beetroot is really good for you. Better fresh than jarred but jarred is better than none at all. Tuck in!

  5. Beetroot has no fat, hardly any calories and is a good source of fibre.

It also has it's own website -

  6. Beetroot has formaldehyde in it!  It has about 35mg/kg

Are you sure you want to eat it?
