Would it be very tiring, especially in the Florida sun and heat? Would it cause you to not want to do anything the rest of the day?

  1. Hard work is hard to define. Cable installers need to be able to handle a lot.

You will need to be able to work in the weather all year round. I live in the snow belt and have done it. You have to be able to climb ladders and go onto roofs to work. You will work in people's basements in houses that are 100 years old, full of cob webs, dark and sometimes wet. You will have to deal with bee stings, insect bites and electrical wiring. Some people will get cable and not be able to afford basic things like water or litter boxes for their cat. people will have the dirtiest houses with pet fecies all over.

You will have to be able to work on your own, keep your vehicle stocked, clean and legal to drive. You will have to deal with the strangest people. You will be the customer service contact for the company. You will eat and use bathrooms on the road. Yoou will have to keep paperwork up to date, follow saftey protocals. You MUST keep a clean driving record. You will have to *** drug testing.

There are a whole lot more good things. People will make you stay for dinner, give you cash tips, bake you cookies while you are in their homes, and help you do your job. People can be the best and the worst part of the job as long as you know how to do the job.

The job is easy to learn, you can rely on other installers to help you. Your boss will try and point any mistake you make.

I loved the job. I would end up working 4-16 hour days. You will have no home life. You will have to be able to work long hours. Some days you will have o figure out how to burn uop 6 hours a day before going back to the shop because you will do all your jobs for the day in 3 hours.

There are a lot more good things and more difficult thing to the job. So How Do You Define Hard Work? I hope this helps, Good Luck!!
