  1. Where? I am a cashier where I work, but it's not like being at the convenience store of the gas station

  4. no im 12 right and my dad owns a pizza store so i get to work in it im the cashier and im gettin paid to press buttons and i learned it on my first day and i like pressing buttons and makin change its fun then if u dont kno somin u can ask someone that will no harm done

  5. it depends where. the busier the place gets, the harder it is..

    i had a summer job as a cashier and it was a piece of cake.

    the cash register gives you the amount of change to give back....it pretty much does it all for you.

    i was nervous at first and i'm bad with math but it was ALOT easier than i thought.

    dont sweat it.

  8. theres a lot that you have to do like taking checks and credit cards and punching in numbers fast.  It can be tough but I'm sure that in England they are much more advanced where it isn't as bad.

  9. Dealing with ppl im sure it gets annoying....and nothing at all exciting about it..unless you count the fact you can be robbed at gun point any min. exciting....

  10. Pfft. No. Unless, your getting robbed and stuff, besides that, its easier than doing school shopping, and everybody knows thats easy.

  12. It's not difficult, but it can be stressful to deal with the occasional demanding and/or irate customer. If you learn not to take that personally, accept that it is inevitable, and learn to handle the situation professionally, you'll be fine.

    Now that doesn't guarantee you'll be paid well or have a reasonable boss, etc., etc.

  13. yes it is,coz everyday will meet some crazy customer!!!!!they scold all the problem in the market to cashier(actually not our problem)i know that very much(i m a cashier 2 month ago)

    sometimes will get rob(i meet it when i m working as cashier)

  15. no. people hand you money and the register tells you how much to give them back...pretty simple.

Can you count back change?  It is very easy if your answer is yes.  If your answer is no it can still be done because the registers tell you how much to give back but sometimes a customer will spring something on you such as giving you a penny after you have been told how much change to give and you need to know what to do.  

    Relax it is fairly easy.

  17. Not at all. I mean, at first you will have to learn all the rules. Then you just need practice counting money and doing everything a cashier does. It is best to start out baggin so you get used to the enviroment of the store.

  18. not really but the customers tend to get lil bi*** u just got to keep cool cause you don't want to get into argument with them.its simple, you just scan the items,bag them,take money,credit cards,checks,and  if there is another payment and say thanks have a nice day=)

  21. If you are not good at math, and the cash register is broken, yes it could be a  hard job.

  22. i work as a cashier for 5/hr atmy dads shop itz easy when the buisness is calm but when the people start coming thats when you have to be careful and watch how much change you are giving.

    once i was busy and accdenlty gave a 5 instead of 4 dollar bills

    it was too late

    I just started my job at Macy's about a month ago. I'm a cashier; I just ring people up, accept payments, take returns, that sort of thing. It's not a hard job. The first day I started felt really hectic, but after a couple of hours I got into the hang of it; and now it seems like second nature.

  31. Its hard in a way because you are on your feet the whole time. Also its repetitive so it gets kind of boring and bec its repetitive , time seems to run so slow.
