  1. You cannot get to Heaven by just doing "good stuff" like helping out an elderly, doing chores, working at a soup kitchen, and things like that. The only way to get to heaven is through Jesus. Jesus says "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." He isn't lying either. John 3:16 proves that unless we believe in Jesus and the ressurection we will be denied eternal life. Good work doesn't cover it! It never has and it never will. Jesus is the way and having a spiritual relationship with him will allow you to receive the gift of eternal life.

  2. No all the good deeds you do will not get you into heaven, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior

  3. How much good is good enough?

    How do you measure it?

What happens when you slip and do bad, how much good do you then need?

  4. Well, that's the church's opinion. A good god, a kind and forgiving god, wouldn't care what you believed.

  5. The Bible says that one must accept Jesus into your heart and as your Lord and Savior, and earnestly repent of their sin and live for God to the best of your ability (we are no perfect, but we must strive to be).  That is the only way.  h**l will be full of "good" people.

Where death finds you, eternity keeps you.

  6. No.  It won't.  Only those who have loved God enough to surrender their lives completely to Him, thereby having a relationship with the Godhead will make it to heaven.  All our efforts to do good is not enough unless it is backed with a live that is lead by the Spirit of God.

  7. I wouldn't want to be a part of anything in which "what you are (Christian)" is more important than "who you are. ( a good person)"

  8. Personally, I think being an everyday person whether you believe in God or Christ is enough.

Lots of people who believe in Christ are terrible people. I don't think they get into Heaven.

  9. Isaiah 64:6

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

  10. I think that would depend entirely on what your definition of "good" is. "Good" means different things to different people. I knew the dirty town drunk once and I thought he was a "good" person. Terrorists definitely think they are "good".

Do you mean 'respectable'? Respected by who?

To get into heaven, you'd have to go with God's definition of "good" which I guess means someone who has repented and been forgiven.

  11. There is no such thing as a good person, we all sin and all sins are equal. Therefore your deeds won't get you anything. That is why Jesus came; because no one was worthy ("good enough.") That's what the sign meant.

  12. No.  Believe in the sacrifice of Jesus for sins or die into eternal punishment.  Read John 8:21-24 and John 14:6.

  13. no we must believe that Jesus lived died for our sins and resurrected and have faith in God narrow is the path to heaven but wide is the road to perdition it is impossible to buy or build your way into heaven there is just 1 way and 1 way only

  14. maybe harassing little children will be enough.

  15. heavens bullshit

  16. Any organisation who wouldn't let Gandhi in, is scum in my eyes.

  17. No it's not good enough you need to repent and

live in obedience to the word of God.

  18. who cares?  i for one have no desire to live forever, worshiping some ego maniac who cares more about whether or not people worship him than do good things and live a good life.

  19. No it's not enough. You have to be a believer of the Lord.

  21. Rom 3:19   Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses and to bring the entire world into judgment before God.

Rom 3:20   For no one can ever be made right in God's sight by doing what his law commands. For the more we know God's law, the clearer it becomes that we aren't obeying it.

Rom 3:21   But now God has shown us a different way of being right in his sight-not by obeying the law but by the way promised in the Scriptures long ago.

Rom 3:22   We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done.

Rom 3:23   For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.

Rom 3:24   Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins.

Rom 3:25   For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times.

Rom 3:26   And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus.

Rom 3:27   Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith.

Rom 3:28   So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Rom 3:29   After all, God is not the God of the Jews only, is he? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.

Rom 3:30   There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.

Rom 3:31   Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

  22. NOPE not enough!  Only thru repentance and the blood of Jesus Christ can one be saved. Just being  GOOD is not enough to do.

  23. You have to believe in God, would you want somebody coming into your home that does not believe in you?

  24. To me, heaven doesn't exists. It's sad you need a God to do good things.

  25. Nope. In order to go to heaven you have to do the following:

    1. Accept that you are a sinner

    2. Believe that Jesus died in the cross for your sins and then came back to life

    3. Pray to God and ask him to forgive you for the sins you have committed

The Bible says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)" so no one is good enough to go to heaven

The Bible also says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

I look forward to seeing you in paradise.

  26. It's never enough unless you become a member. Infiltrate and destroy their cult.

  27. Simply putting your trust in God is enough. However, if you DO trust & have faith in God, it SHOULD inspire you to be a very good person.

  28. That's right, no one on Earth is "good enough" to get into Heaven. That's why we need to be "washed in the blood" of Christ to cover our sins, because only He is worthy.

  29. well it seems that would be the only fair system,  people usually follow the religion they are born into also christianity still struggles to answer the question of what about people who don't hear about Jesus and basically they teach without Jesus your a hopeless sinner and once you make the claim that he is the only exclusive way then you basically leave all these people being burned for all eternity which is a horrible punishment for anyone I mean what can we do in our short existence here to deserve that I mean eternal torment for not a hundred not a thousand but for all of eternity a punishment that never ends and they say there loving and merciful god is gonna inflect this horrible punishment on these innocent people who never had a chance just think about that god is gonna do something worse then the devil ever could

personally I believe heaven is not a physical place it's a state of mind same with h**l and god is a personification of all that is pure and good of course this is different for everyone because different people have a different perspective on what is good and what is evil and the devil is of course the personification of evil this is a theme carried throughout nearly all religious systems throughout history there is also another idea of god as a spiritual connection or a consciousness or spirit that pervades everything anyhow good luck looking for your answer

  30. I think it depends on which path/faith one belongs.

It could be enough - but not for all, because not everyone shares same faith/path.

    Peace.

  31. no, if it was Jesus didnt need to die on the cross

plus what is the definition of Good?

hitler thought he was doing a great job, and he loved his mother

    Biblically no one is good

we all are sinners who need to be saved by God, and he does that through the sacrifice of his son for our sins

one way, one God, one narrow road, one savior
