  1. Weird? I don't see anys... I think those friends that laughed at you are weird though! Shame on them.

Quote of the Day : - What is right for one soul may not be right for another. It may mean having to stand on your own and do something strange in the eyes of others. But do not daunted. Do whatever it is because you know within it is right for you - Eileen Caddy.

  2. No. You can't understand until you've tried it (open-mindedly). Besides, everyone has their own unique interests. Being too occupied with being "normal" would mean you don't know who you really are (which I'm sure is a great person).

  3. synchronized swimming is definitely not weird!!! I understand though that people would make fun of it... yet it is really an incredibly difficult sport! I used to be a gymnast, and I was so sick of all the football players saying it was a "sissy sport" because it takes so much strength and skill. Just ignore it... as long as you know that what you do is much harder than anything they do, you'll be fine. If you really love doing it, then it shouldn't matter what other people say

  4. It is not weird.

Some people might react that way because it's not something as mainstreamed as volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, etc.

Realize that those people don't understand it, and most likely couldn't do it. But it's somethign that -you- enjoy and that's where the value lies, it's somethign for YOU. If you are doing it to get popular or known, you aren't doing it for the right reasons.

Enjoy it, do your best, and most of all , HAVE FUN!

good luck, make it to the olympics~!

  5. syncronized swimming is one of the hardest sports in the pool.  Not only are u doing ballet, you are also doing it upside down, in the water whilst trying to keep in time with the other team mates.

The training is tireless and you must be very strong and fit.

now u might have put years of preparation into this sport, I have great respect for any one that pesues this sport.

    Good luck!

Dont worry about their laughters/ that is just a stupid reaction from the ignorant.

  6. Only if you do it alone :)

No, really.  People have the picture of a group of young girls in their mind when the name comes up.  If you're not a young girl, you don't fit their picture, same as guys being cheerleaders.

  7. If it was weird, nobody would be doing it in the first place.
