Is being best friends an illusion?

ok well i'm wondering if i should just leave the guy that has been my best friend for the past year in the dust and forget about him because he has decided that he doesn't want to talk to me or even see me? or should i at least try and find out what it is that made he decide that? after all we've only been friends for a year but we've been best friends. i would do anything for him and he at least said that he would do anything for me. he's never let me leave mad at him cause he can't stand to have people mad at him expesially when it could be permanent. don't i deserve the same from him?

i have been trying for the past two weeks to find out whats up and he's been ignoring my phone calls. and maybe i have a small idea but the only thing that comes to mind is something is trivial. i'm thinking that he's either jealous that i've finally gotten a job and he hasnt or he's gotten tired of our friends wanting to hang out with both of us. and it can't be that he likes me but doesn't want to ruin our friendship cause we've discussed possibly hooking up quite a few times and he's always the one that puts down the idea saying that it would ruin our friendship but he's ruining it by not talking to me

anyway, the first idea that came to my mind is that he might likes u more than a friend and he wants hooking up, but since that u've said u both already discuss that and he always put it down so I guess its not the problem but.

I guess he might have some pressure like u've said he is looking for a Job, or have some pressure from ur friends or his friends trying to hangout with both of u.

so I guess that made him a bet confused and he just want a time for his own to think about how things going on, and what exactly he wants, I know that not answering ur calls isn't a gd idea but he might just need a time for his own.

so I suggest that u leave him for a while to think about things and u can send him an sms since that he is not picking up ur calls just to say:" Hi, how r u and how have u been? I'm trying to call u but u didn't answer, I hope u r fine and there is nothing wrong, plz call me whenever u have the time, to make sure u r ok, take care"

or u can try visiting him at home, its really confusing but I think he just a bet confused about what's going on

Being only "friends" with the opposite s*x when your also attracted to them is mirage if you have ever seen it before. Being best friends with the same s*x and trusting them is a illusion.
