  1. No, Alaska has the population of what 30 people.

What doe she know about inner city poverty or drugs?

  2. population wise yes although to be truthful the mayor of a semi-large city probably deals with more issues

  3. Yes, it is.

Total population of Alaska is 700,000 people.

Furthermore, Alaska's biggest resource is oil

And Palin's husband works for one of the biggest oil companies in the world, British Petroleum.  No wonder Palin's all for drilling in the ANSWAR.

And as far as her "executive experience" is concerned, well Bush had 8 years of "executive experience" and we all know how that turned out.

I'd rather have a U. S. Senator with a brilliant mind that's been Harvard trained than an ex-beauty queen/sports journalist with 21 months of executive experience any day.

  4. Not at all.  A governor has to deal with every city, which are scattered all over the state.  Also, the various state deptartments, national guard, national security stuff, etc.  Palin's case is unique, though, as the location on Alaska means she has had to deal with Russia and Canada over a variety of issues.

  5. Obama was never a Mayor.

A Governor does what a President does - They GOVERN

  6. Only if you look at it through the eyes of a moron.

  7. well even alaska deal with poverty and drugs.  Meth is a huge problem and i guess none of you have ever visited the Anchorage, Ak suburb Mountain Vieww.

  8. No... a governor's role is always more prestigious and carries more responsibility.

  9. Not really.  Mayors generally preside over city council meetings, focusing on the representative side of government, leaving day-to-day administration to professional city managers.  Governors are deeply involved in adminstration of their state budget and programs, and serve as the key link to federal departments that provide a lot of the funding now for state programs.  It would be difficult to compare the two jobs.  An ideal candidate for national office would be someone who has been exposed to both kinds of duties.  Hey, that is Sarah Pelin.  Thanks for pointing this out for me.
